Vocational Scenario or Context
The aim of this unit is to develop the learners understanding of the operational elements of clinical pharmacy services. This unit focuses on the principles of law, ethics and local and national guidelines used to support service delivery in clinical practice. It also aims to reflect on operational management skills and introduce the learner to quality management by applying standards to work practices.
Task 1
Choose two laws and one legislation. Give an overview of how your chosen laws/legislation govern pharmacy practice management and impact and relevance to pharmacy practice. Explain the role of clinical ethics and its impact on clinical pharmacy services. Produce a written assignment. Include in your assignment the use of supporting visual information. For example, tables, diagrams, graphs, clinical pictures etc. Your assignment should be referenced using the Harvard Referencing System. Any visuals used should be clearly referenced and placed in an appendix. Maintain objectivity and academic integrity throughout your work.
