Title: Technical Report: Condition Evaluation of the Workshop (including the Equipment) and Maintenance Practice
Assignment Brief
You are required to write a formal technical report based on your observations of your engineering workshop (C11b) environment and the equipment available. This report must be written professionally and must demonstrate the correct structure, language, and style expected of a Level 2 Engineering student.
Objectives:
- Demonstrate the ability to identify and describe well-maintained vs. poorly maintained tools or systems
- Recommend appropriate maintenance actions
- Communicate findings using the format and tone of a professional technical report
Instructions:
1. Observe the Workshop Area:
- Use the tools provided and your actual workshop environment
- Identify at least:
- 1 items or systems that appear well-maintained
- 1 items or systems that appear faulty or unsafe
2. Partner/Group Discussion:
Briefly compare your findings with a classmate and consider:
- Are the issues you both identified similar?
- What consequence might these issues have on safety or equipment performance?
3. Write a Technical Report that includes:
