Assignment instructions
This unit is assessed through a mixture of written tasks, questions and answers and drawings contained in one workbook. There is a word limit of 2000 words (+/- 10%) for the whole assignment.
Task 1 (AC1.1, AC1.2): Cell Organelles and Cellular Specialisation Handout.
This task involves composing a handout for a fellow student who missed the lecture on the relationship between structure and function of cell organelles and cellular specialisation.
Task 2 (AC2.1, AC2.2, AC4.1): Plasma Membrane and Levels of Organisation Short Questions
This task involves answering a series of short questions on the plasma membrane, movement of molecules across the membrane and levels of organisation in body systems.
Task 3 (AC3.1): Mitosis and Meiosis Comparison Table and Structured Question
This task involves completing a table to compare the similarities and differences between mitosis and meiosis and answering a structured question relating to the role of these processes in adults.
Task 4 (AC4.2): Stem Cell Magazine Article Outline
This task involves writing an outline for a magazine article on how medical science uses stems cells in the development of treatments and/or research.
