In this unit, learners will develop an understanding of skin morphology and the inflammatory response. 	2.2 Explain the function of the acid mantle of the skin and its formation by the products of sweat and sebaceous glands.
LO3. Understand the inflammatory response and skin remodelling.	3.1 Analyse the stages of the inflammatory response and wound healing
	3.2 Explain the process and factors affecting skin remodelling
	3.3 Explain the role of histamine in the allergic response and anaphylaxis
	3.4 Analyse the role of fibroblasts in the formation of the extra-cellular matrix and skin re-modelling
