Research Methods for Business and Psychology Assessment Brief
Your report should be presented in good academic style, having beenformatted using the APA referencing system and proofread for grammatical errors. It should be 4,000 words (+/- 10%), including tables but excludingreferences.
Part 1 (2,000 words): You are required to analyse the research design (atleast two methodologies used) and data analysis of published papers relevantto the field of study.
Part 2 (2,000 words): You are required to write about your proposed researchdesign and data analysis.
Part 1 (2,000 words +/- 10%): (45%)
Choose an organizational psychology or human resource management topic that is relevant to your degree. Conduct a literature review and search for academic journals or peer-reviewed journals relating to the topic chosen (containing at least 12 papers). These journals are written byacademics and are reliable sources for information on related topics or disciplines, preferably most of them were published in recent years (2020 – 2026).
A detailed critique of at least two well-used research methodologies with data analysis in the literature you have reviewed. Discuss:
1. how they are applied;
2. how the methods were deployed to provide a worthwhile contribution to theory and research;
3. what gaps the methods may leave that could lend the area to further analysis (and anopportunity for your own research); and
4. attach a literature map, if possible, to show the scope of your review of literature.
Part 2 (2,000 words +/- 10%): 55%
Based on your review from Part 1, you are required to write about your proposed research design and data analysis that include:
1. develop at least two, preferably three or four Research Questions;
2. proposed your intended research design with justification; and for thoseusing quantitative methods, please formulate your hypotheses and provide aconceptual framework
3. discuss the type of data analysis you intended to use and how the proposedanalysis could find answers to your research questions; and
4. discuss the significance of your proposal and how the findings contribute tothe knowledge base in HRM or Organisational Psychology.
