This individual report will be based on the international expansion of a multinational enterprise of your choice into a host country of your choice. Justify all arguments put. forward in the report. A wide variety of sources should be used, including annual reports. academic journal and newspaper articles, corporate reports, industry reports, databases. company websites, etc..
In your report, you should address the following tasks:
Motivations for international expansion: Examine the key motivations (i.e. market seeking or resource seeking or efficiency seeking or strategic asset seeking) that influenced your selected firm’s decision to expand internationally.
Internationalisation: Using an appropriate theoretical framework (for example, Uppsala model (1977;1990)), explain the stages of international expansion undertaken by your chosen firm.
Challenges and/or opportunities: Using a host country as an example, evaluate the political and cultural challenges and/or opportunities your chosen MNE experienced in entering and operating within your chosen host country.
