You have gained an internship with SystemsDev.com which provides organisations with support for ICT projects, by offering systems analysis and design services. The agency has done some work before for Jakub Vuković who is the CEO of ‘The World of Art’. The company is a large sales and distribution business selling specialist art supplies across Croatia. Based in Zagreb, Jakub wants to expand his art supplies business by selling online
to art shops and galleries around the world.

Task 1

Jakub Vuković has asked you to attend a meeting with the Directors of ‘The World of Art’. They would like to use SystemsDev.com’s services and are concerned about the costs associated with the project and the impact on the business. They need your guidance. In preparation for this meeting, produce a report which:

• explains the purpose of the lifecycle in development activities.
• describes the stages of the development lifecycle.
• explains the roles and responsibilities associated with the stages of development lifecycle.
• explains the role of systems analysis in systems development.
• describes the importance of demonstrating the key behaviours of problem-solving.

• selection and justification of your choice of methodology.
• assessment of the use of project management tools and how they contribute to the control of development projects.

• prepare a feasibility report.
• outline two possible options for ‘The World of Art’ and choose one solution to develop.
• design the solution using appropriate tools.
• describe a further improvement for Jakub and his directors to consider.
• present the solution to the client using a suitable format.
